Job description

Job title: Industrial Inspection Reviewer

Job type: Contractor

Location: On-site

Job summary: Review industrial inspection captures and vision labels for manufacturing and operational AI. You bring floor-realistic judgment to defect classes and false-alarm tradeoffs.

Key responsibilities

  1. Validate defect labels on lines, surfaces, assemblies, and packaging inspection tasks.
  2. Arbitrate ambiguous cases between cosmetic vs functional defects.
  3. Ensure safety and PPE context is correctly represented in training data.
  4. Align label decisions with customer-specific acceptance criteria.
  5. Report systematic annotator misunderstandings tied to domain jargon or lighting.

Required skills and qualifications

  1. Quality engineering, machine vision, or manufacturing operations experience.
  2. Understanding of line-speed constraints and rare-failure class imbalance.
  3. Familiarity with lockout/tagout or EHS awareness on plant floors.
  4. Ability to travel occasionally or review on-site capture when required.

Preferred qualifications

  1. Six Sigma, ISO audit, or automated optical inspection deployment background.
  2. Experience with thermal, X-ray, or multi-sensor industrial imaging.
