Job description
Job title: Safety Vision Validator
Job type: Contractor
Location: Hybrid
Job summary: Validate safety-critical vision labels for PPE, zone intrusion, and hazard detection models. Precision matters — misses and false alarms have real operational impact.
Key responsibilities
- Review safety-related bounding boxes, events, and severity tags for accuracy.
- Judge edge cases: partial PPE, occluded workers, glare, and night-shift footage.
- Document false positive vs false negative tradeoffs per customer policy.
- Verify escalation metadata for near-miss and prohibited-zone events.
- Support red-team style hard-negative curation for safety classifiers.
Required skills and qualifications
- EHS, site safety, or industrial security camera program experience.
- Ability to interpret safety policies into consistent visual QA decisions.
- Calm, methodical review style under high-stakes label criteria.
- Strong documentation habits for audit trails.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with construction, logistics yard, or refinery monitoring deployments.
- Background training frontline staff on vision-assisted safety tools.
